What was Witnessed in Arsenal’s 1-0 Win Against PSV in the Europa League

Arsenal hosted PSV Eindhoven in another game of the Europa League. Mikel Arteta named a very strong squad for this game despite the fact that his team only needed a draw in order to advance to the next stage of the competition.

He named Matt Turner in the goalpost, the defence had Tomiyasu, Rob Holding, Gabriel Magalhaes and Kieran Tierney. The midfield had Albert Sambi Lokonga and Granit Xhaxa. The forward line had Bukayo Saka, Fabio Vieira, Edward Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus.

Ruud van Nistelroy who is the Manager of PSV also named a very strong squad. He named Walter Benitez in the goalpost, the defence had Philipp Max, Armando Obispo, Ramalho Silva and Philipp Mwene. The midfield had Erick Gutierrez and Ibrahim Sangare.

The forward line had Cody Gakpo, Joey Veerman, Xavi Simons and Guus Til. The first half was a very tight and tough one and none of the teams managed to score any goal. They went for the first half break when the score line was 0-0.

Mikel Arteta was forced to make some changes in the second half in order for him to get better results. He substituted Albert Sambi Lokonga and replaced him with Thomas Partey, Fabio Vieira with Martin Odegaard.

The changes made worked and Granit Xhaxa got one goal for the Gunners. He scored a brilliant goal after Takehiro Tomiyasu gave him a good pass. The Manager made further changes and he replaced Gabriel Jesus with Gabriel Martinelli, Takehiro Tomiyasu with Ben White and Bukayo Saka with Reiss Nelson.

The game ended 1-0 in favor of the Gunners and the team is still number one in their group with a total of 12 points after recording 100% win rate so far. This now means that the club has already qualified of the next stage of the competition.
