What was Witnessed in Arsenal’s 2-1 Victory Against Sevilla in the Champions League

Arsenal travelled to Spain for another game of the Champions League. Mikel Arteta named his strong squad for that encounter and he maintained the team that drew 2-2 with Chelsea over the weekend.

The game was very interesting because all the two teams wanted a win in that game so that they can boost their chances of advancing to the next level. Arsenal displayed some good game and it was finally rewarded.

The Gunners capitalized on an attack that was aimed to them and did a quick counter attack in the added minutes of the game. Gabriel Jesus took the ball and quickly shared it Gabriel Martinelli who even dribbled past the goalkeeper before shaking the back of the net.

The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Arsenal. The second half started on a very high note and it seems that Mikel Arteta talked to his players because they came with the mind of attacking fully in the second half.

Gabriel Jesus who was very impressive in the game curved a very good cross into the net of Sevilla. This second goal made the Sevilla players to wake up. Diego Alonso made some three changes in order to counter the attacking trio of Arsenal.

He substituted Djibril Sow and replaced him with Mariano Diaz, Dodi Lukebakio with Erik Lamela and Jesus Navas with Juanlu. Ivan Rakitic gave Nemanja Gudelj a brilliant pass from the corner kick and Sevilla pulled one goal back.

Mikel Arteta also made some changes depending on how the game was. He substituted Martin Odegaard and replaced him with Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus with Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli with Jakub Kiwior. The game ended 2-1 in favor of Arsenal.
