The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya, Jackson Ole Sapit joined hands in supporting the Catholic Church in its criticism of the government. He read and statement and said that, the Anglican Church is in full support of the Catholic Church leaders address to the Nation.
He said that, they also believe that the government is yet to turn things around the country because currently, the government is not heading in the right direction and Kenyans are really suffering because of that.
He also added that, calling the Church leaders names and also dismissing their statements is dishonest because what they presented was not misleading at all.
He told President William Ruto that, he should now realize that, too much talk and endless promises will not do any much for the country. He added that, they are demanding for transparency, greater accountability, time bound plans and urgent interventions.
He also gave an example and stated that, the Health sector needs serious attention right now and empty talks will not make things any better. He added that, the Statement by the Catholic Bishops painted the picture that is on the ground and what is happening on the ground.
He further stated that, no amount of attacks or intimidations, will make the Church to change its stand on the real issues that are facing Kenyans.
He challenged the political class to calm down and listen for once to what Kenyans want. He added that, Kenyans only need services right now and not lectures because time for politics was over and it is now time for service delivery.
