Arsenal have found themselves in a great fix after their captain fantastic, Martin Odegaard picked up an injury and it is not looking good at all. The injury has come just few days to the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspurs.
The Norway doctor Ola Sand said that, Martin Odegaard got a small ankle sprain but they will see by maybe looking at the ultrasound. He added that if they are unsure, they will do an MRI.
The Coach of Norway Solbakken also said that, Martin Odegaard’s injury looked very bad in the dressing room. This is indeed a great setback for the Gunners because this is the time when they really need him most.
Martin Odegaard is one of the most reliable players in the Arsenal squad and he has really contributed a lot in making sure that the club reaches the level that it is in currently. If his injury will make him to take more time off the pitch, then Arsenal will really suffer some huge blow.
Martin Odegaard’s injury has also put Arsenal in a great fix because the club will face their arch rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs this coming weekend in the North London Derby. He will now join another thorough midfielder, Declan Rice who also got an injury during the game against Brighton.
The two trio will be missed dearly in the midfield. They have been the key pillars in Arsenal’s midfield and their contributions are unmatched. Mikel Arteta will therefore have to find a way of coping up without the two of them in the North London Derby.
Arsenal’s strength and power in the Premier League title race will be tried and tested with the absence of captain Martin Odegaard. This will be a very tough test for Mikel Arteta and his squad.
His squad depth will also be put on the test to see if the available players who the club have can step up and finish the work.
