The long awaited day finally reached and President William Samoei Ruto and his deputy honorable Rigathi Gachagua finally were sworn into office. They took the oath of office at the Kasarani international stadium.
Many people travelled from far and wide in order to witness their swearing in. The ceremony was graced by many Heads of States and many delegations which were sent by different Nations.
Some of the Heads of States who were present during the inauguration are like Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohammed, President Wavel Ramkalawan of Seychelles, President Lazurus Chakwera of Malawi, President Umaro Sissoco of Guinea Bissau.
President Julius Bio of Sierra Leone, President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique, President Salva Kiir of South Sudan.
President Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi, President Mahamat Deby from Chad, Honorable Abiy Ahmed who is the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, King Mswati III of Eswatini and honorable Cleophas Dlamini who is the Prime Minister of Eswatini.
Many people were also glued to their television stations in order to view the swearing in ceremony. The day was officially announced as a public holiday and many people took some rest from their work in order to see the swearing in of the new administration.
The former President, honorable Uhuru Kenyatta also graced the occasion and he handed over the instruments of power to his former deputy for the last ten years. The ceremony was done in accordance with the law and it also ended in a good way.
