The photos depict how jovial Seth Nyakio Njeri was and many people are still wondering, what came over her boyfriend that made him to strangle her to death after what is possibly reported as a sexual assault.
A love affair has now gone sour and another soul has departed at just 23 years old. An age that is still young because it is when she was starting to explore life just after graduating.
Sorrow engulfed the home of Nominated Kirniyaga County, MCA, honorable Lucy Njeri. This is after it was reported that, her only daughter, Seth Nyakio Njeri who is only aged 23 years old, lost her life in cold blood.
Seth Nyakio Njeri, was a graduate of Zetech University. She left their home on Saturday and went to visit a friend. Her mother confirmed that, she spoke to her on Saturday night, but on Sunday, she was unable to reach her.
Her attempts to reach her were futile and then on Monday morning, the mother to Seth Nyakio Njeri received a very shocking call with very sad details. The call stated that, her daughter was found murdered in Biafra in Thika.
The police visited the crime scene and they recorded a statement that, the body of Seth Nyakio Njeri was lying lifeless and naked on the bed.
The police officers confirmed that, she was first sexually assaulted and then later strangled to death. The police also confirmed that, she was killed on Monday.
The friend who she went to visit has already recorded a statement with the police. The main suspect in this incident is his estranged boyfriend.
Her mother described her as a very jovial and happy soul. She called on the DCI to make sure that they probe the matter very fast so that the culprit can be arrested and face the law for the murder of her daughter.
She said that, had she known that this was going to be how her daughter was going to die, then she could have persuaded her not to go, but there is no instinct that warned her about the same.
Seth Nyakio Njeri, had also missed death by a whisker earlier on this year in the month of February. She was a victim of hit and run along Waiyaki Way but survived that incident.
If the relationship is not working, people should learn to just separate in peace without causing any harm to a person you once shared good moments with.
The pain that the family of Seth Nyakio Njeri has remained with and especially the mother, is something which is unmatched. This is because, she was the only daughter of the Nominated MCA of Kirinyaga County Assembly.
The DCI should indeed expedite the probe and bring all the culprits to book so that they can serve as a lesson to others too.
