Arsenal has gotten a big loss after the club released two of their best Academy players to look for greener pastures elsewhere after their contracts came to an end and the contracts were not renewed.
The club announced the departure of Reuell Walters and Amario Cozier-Duberry. The two Academy had made their way to the first team but they have not been getting enough game time because of the other senior players who are above them in the pecking order.
The two players were offered new contracts but they all chose to reject the contract because they want regular playing time. It is very evident that in the current Arsenal squad, they cannot get the regular playing time that they need because there are players who have cemented their positions and they continue to perform well daily.
Arsenal fans have been left devastated with this news and majority of them have said that this is very unfortunate for the club. The fans said that the players may become another thorn in the flesh for Arsenal and their departure may really haunt the club.
Some of the fans also said that Arsenal may be forced to buy one of the players in the near future because they will surely evolve to be some of the best players in football history.
Some fans also said that Arsenal need to do something on the youthful players who are leaving for free after spending so much resources to train them. The only challenge is that the Academy players nowadays want regular football and they do not want to be bench warmers anymore.
In as much as it is painful to lose those players, it is also just in order to obey their request and allow them to try their luck elsewhere and see how they will perform for their new clubs that will sign them.
