DISCLOSED: How President Ruto and Raila’s Uganda Meeting was Secretly Planned and Executed

Details have finally emerged of how the Head of State and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, honorable William Ruto together with the opposition leader, the enigma, Right honorable Raila Odinga planned a meeting secretly with the President of Uganda honorable Yoweri Museveni at his Kisozi farm.

Insiders revealed that President Yoweri Museveni had approached Raila Odinga and he told him that he wanted a joint meeting with him and President William Ruto so as to discuss the deepening regional integration within the East African Community. He wanted his counsel on the matter.

President William Ruto then reached out to Raila who had already honored the invitation of President Museveni. He was to smoothen the ground for the diplomatic row that is between the two Nations which was brought about by the controversial government to government oil deal. It had even raised speculations that the deal had broken the good relations that Kenya had with Uganda.

President Ruto flew from Nairobi to Uganda and it was revealed that he was accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary for Energy honorable Davis Chirchir and the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority Director General honorable Daniel Kiptoo. Raila Odinga flew direct from Namibia where he had gone for the funeral of the late President.

The main agenda was to discuss the stalemate over the Uganda National Oil Company being denied the access to Kenya’s oil pipeline. They resolved that they will be given the license to use the pipeline. This was the biggest issue that needed Raila Odinga’s presence for it to be solved.

They also discussed the urgent need to construct the conceptualized Eldoret-Kampala-Kigali petroleum products refinery pipeline.

They also discussed the AUC top job for Raila Odinga. President Yoweri Museveni promised to support his bid. President Yoweri Museveni is viewed as the Dean of the region and he is very key to regional mobilization strategy and that is why they had to meet him so that he can clear the path for Raila Odinga to clinch the top AU seat.

This now means that there may be a working deal between President William Ruto and honorable Raila Odinga. He even yesterday met the Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage honorable Aisha Jumwa for an update and briefing on the implementation of the two-thirds gender rule.
