The interim Coach of Harambee Stars, Francis Kimanzi has finally named his 24-man squad for the Mapinduzi Cup that will take place in Zanzibar. The following are the players who have made the cut in the squad.
Goalkeepers
Bryne Omondi, Farouk Shikalo and Sebastian Wekesa
Defenders
Sylvester Owino, Hanif Wesonga, Alphonce Omija, Brian Okoth, Abud Omar, Siraj Mohammed, Rooney Onyango and Daniel Sakari.
Midfielders
Michael Mutinda, Chrispine Erambo, Brian Musa, Kelly Madada, Austine Odhiambo, Kenneth Muguna, Ben Stanley Omondi, Boniface Muchiri, Darius Msagha, James Kinyanjui and Mohammed Bajaber.
Forwards
Ryan Ogam and Moses Shumah.
The team has been training at the Mpesa Foundation Academy and the Coaches who have been leading the team are, Francis Kimanzi who is the Head Coach and he is being assisted by John Kamau and Zedekiah Otieno.
The former Harambee Stars number one goalkeeper, Arnold Origi was also leading the goalkeepers as their keeper coach, Mike Igendia as the Fitness Technology, Wycliff Makanga as the Team Doctor, Noel Mandi as the physiotherapist, Isaac Munene Muriiki as the kit Manager and Jectan Oitang’or as the Logistics Manager.

Kenya Police has 6 players, Gor Mahia has 4 players, KCB has 4 players, AFC Leopards has 2 players, Bandari has 2 players, Tusker has 2 players, Kakamega Homeboyz has 2 players, Kariobangi Sharks has 1 player, Ulinzi stars has 1 player, Shabana has 1 player and Nairobi City Stars also has 1 player.
The squad is generally balanced considering the fact that the tournament requires the players who are playing in the local leagues. We wish the National team, Harambee Stars success in the Mapinduzi Cup.
