Written by The Gen Z Revolution which started as just a small revolution that was opposing the Finance Bill, has grown into a very big revolution and it has even become a threat to the government. The Gen Zs now want President William Ruto to resign as the President of Kenya.
They have also revealed the people who will take over from President William Ruto after his resignation. The Gen Zs have stated that, Article 146 of the Constitution is very clear about the people who can take over the country after the resignation of a President.
The Gen Zs stated that, Article 146 of the Constitution, states that, the Speaker of the National Assembly, who is honorable Moses Masika Wetangula, or the Chief Justice, who is Justice Martha Koome, are the only people who are mandated by the Constitution to take over power.
They further revealed that, it is only the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Chief Justice, who can take over the leadership of the country, and their mandate will be to make sure that, a fresh election is held within a period of 60 days which is equivalent to two months.
The Gen Zs also clarified that rumors that are being spread that the Kenya Defence Forces will take over after the resignation of President William Ruto are false. They added that the Constitution is very clear on that.
The Gen Zs also stated that the country needs the fresh elections and the people also need fresh leaders who will champion for their rights. It is however still not very clear how the Gen Z want to overthrow President William Ruto and make him to resign.
The Gen Z forced President William Ruto to reject the Finance Bill and he also fired his Cabinet. He however returned some of the former Cabinet Secretaries, contrary to what the Gen Z told him on how to select his Cabinet.
