Written by A 54-year-old man from Kakamega County by the name of Julius Omungala opened up and gave a story of how his wife cheated on him, got pregnant, went ahead to abort and later became barren. Despite all these, the man still forgave her and still took her in as his wife after some time.
Julius went to look for greener pastures in Nairobi and after staying for eight months the unthinkable happened. For all these 8 months, Julius left his wife Monica Ndonga in Kakamega.
The worst happened and after suffering for 8 months without conjugal rights, Monica Ndonga decided to cheat on his husband who was out for long. Things did not go well with her, the illicit affair came with severe consequences.
She got pregnant for another man after cheating on her husband. Guilt caught up with her and she thought that the best thing to do was to terminate the pregnancy so that her husband will not realize that she cheated.
She confided in a friend and the friend told her that she will take her to another lady in the village who was acting as a native doctor. She gave her some concoction and after some time she started feeling severe abdominal pains and also backaches.
When the pain persisted, she decided to visit the hospital for further checkup. She was later admitted and Julius was informed of what had transpired by his relatives. He travelled all the way to Kakamega to see his wife.
After reaching the hospital, Julius asked his wife what had transpired and she opened up and narrated the whole ordeal. The doctors gave their diagnosis and it stated that Monica did an abortion and it did not go well and she will have to live with the fact that she will never ever give birth again because he uterus was severely affected.
She was later discharged but Julius was not yet done with her. He got very bitter and they separated and Monica went back to her parents. She had to accept her fate because that is something that she brought upon herself.
Julius went back to Monica’s home after one year due to the love that he had for his wife. He went to ask for a reunion between them and he even paid the dowry again. This did not go well with many people especially the villagers and they even called him also sorts of names.
They are still together and they are happy despite all things that happened between them in the past.
