Written by Dr. Joyce Kithure boasts of not only being the wife of the third Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Professor Kithure Kindiki, but also as an Academician in her own capacity. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi.
Her Education background is very rich because she has mastered the art in Environmental Chemistry. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree, a Masters Degree and still a PhD in Environmental Chemistry which she attained from the University of Nairobi in 2013 before joining the faculty the following year.
She is a Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry. She has been a member of the University faculty for ten years now because she joined in the year 2014.
Dr. Joyce Kithure got married to Professor Kithure Kindiki in the year 2001 and they have three children together.
Her husband grew in various capacities as a Lecturer, a Lawyer, the Senator of Tharaka Nithi County, the Leader of the Majority in the National Senate, the Deputy Speaker of the National Senate, the Cabinet Secretary of Interior and now the third Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.
Despite all the positions that Professor Kithure Kindiki has achieved in the Public Service, she has always chosen to keep her profile very low.
Professor Kithure Kindiki did not fail to acknowledge the support that his wife has accorded him all this while when he has been in the political arena and also the Public Service.
Dr. Joyce Kithure is now the second lady after his husband was sworn in as the Deputy President.
