President Ruto Makes a U-Turn, Says he has Heard Clergy and Will Change his Ways

The President of the Republic of Kenya, honorable William Ruto has now made a U-turn on his stance on the clergy. He said that, he has heard and examined the concerns that was raised by the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops and said that, he will change the deep rooted culture of lies that has been entrenched in the country.

The President blasted the Catholic Bishops for allegedly lying and said at a Graduation ceremony in Tangaza University that, he has promised to change his ways.

He also confirmed on Saturday during the consecration service of Rev. Peter Kimani as the new Bishop of Embu Diocese. He said that he has heard them and he will change what is necessary. He was then cheered by the crowd for changing his stand.

President William Ruto however found a very hard time with the crowd. It was very hard for him to explain what his government has so far done in relation to the Social Health Authority (SHA) and the Affordable Housing.

The crowd heckled him because they did not want to hear any of those success stories from the head of State. He was forced to now call for unity in the country and asked everybody so that they can hold hands together and move the country forward.

The Bishops accused President William Ruto that he has inculcated a culture of lies in the country and he has not also kept some of the promises that he gave to Kenyans when he was campaigning and when he had also assumed power as the Head of State.

They also said that, this is coming at a time when the cost of living is so high in the country and the taxes are also overburdening Kenyans. Their sentiments were highly reacted to by the politicians on the side of the government.
