Sad News as a Form Three Girl Commits Suicide After She was Told to Shave her Hair

Sadness and grief rocked a family in Nakuru county after a form three student at Langalanga Mixed Secondary School died through suicide. The student was told by her Head Teacher to shave her hair before resuming school for the third term studies.

Reports indicated that the form three girls did not obey the orders of the Principal. She was then sent to go back home and come with her parents. Her mother asked her that she did not see her photo among the students whose photos were taken.

She explained that she had only unplaited two lines from her hair and she was also asked to shaved her hair. Her parents forced her to write an apology letter to the school and she complied with that directive and wrote it.

She however committed suicide on Wednesday in the evening after writing the apology letter. It is however not very clear what could have made the students to take her own life. It is argued that shaving alone could have not made the student to take her life.

Her mother described her as good girl. She was however living a quiet life and this could have made her not to share many things even with her own parents. The body of the deceased is currently being preserved at the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.

Parents have been urged to always counsel their children because they may be facing some things in their lives and they may not be in a position to share such information with anybody.
