Written by A 29-year-old lady by the name, Lydia Tokesi went missing for nine days. She was last seen on 4th January 2025. Her family reported her missing and the detectives began the search for her.
The family was then informed by the detectives that they had found a body that was suspected to be that of Lydia Tokesi. They rushed to the crime scene to identify the body and they identified the clothes that were there as hers despite the fact that it was mutilated and it had serious signs of torture.
Her brother by the name of Daniel Shikoli said that the state of that body was very bad and it was not easy to ascertain if it was her sisters body. He however said that, the clothes that were at the scene of crime were Lydia Tokesi’s clothes.
The body was found in a thicket and some of the body parts were missing. He added that, the doctors are currently running a DNA test on the body so that they can ascertain that it is actually her sister’s body.

The family said that, Lydia Tokesi was with her boyfriend of eight years on 4th January 2025 and they even stayed together. The family also revealed that, Lydia had taken a bank loan and he purchased a vehicle for his boyfriend who is the main suspect of the killing and he was operating it as a taxi in Nairobi.

Reports also indicated that, the said vehicle was abandoned near the home of the parents of Lydia and it had some blood stains.

The detectives raided the home of the boyfriend where they were in Ongata Rongai and they found some exhibits which links him to the killing of his lover. The detectives also said that, they also found a love letter and it showed that their relationship was not going well at all.
