Babu brings out a chair and sits at Bi. Salama’s compound as she laments her failure as a mother, claiming that Sultana would have benefited more from a good education and established herself professionally by now if she had been born into a wealthy family.
She begs Babu’s pardon and urges him to keep their upcoming confession between them. She tears as she informs him that the woman he buried all those years ago is not Sultana’s real mother but rather Bi. Ua, and that the other woman is JJ’s real mother. With amazement, Babu makes the connection between her repeated warnings to Major’s residence and the necklace, both of which she requested be buried quickly. His earlier assumptions were true, and he demands to know the reason for her silence.
While Fatima and Major sit down to eat, Asiya prepares the table. Sada enters the dining area and asks Asiya to carry her lunch to her room; upon turning, she catches sight of a sobbing JJ, who walks over to comfort her. When Sada asks what’s wrong, he tells her that the pregnancy isn’t his and she immediately becomes concerned. JJ’s father confronts him with the question of who is to blame for the pregnancy if it wasn’t his, but JJ only glares at him.
When Babu approaches Bi. Salama, he asks her why she kept the secret when even Zuu had a hunch that night. She tells him that everything went down because Asiya was afraid Major would find out the baby was a girl, and that if he did, all hell would break loose, on top of the fact that everyone was convinced the baby was already dead. It would have been tough to dissuade Major, who was overjoyed that his wife was providing him with an heir. Ua was spared from Major’s fury since she returned home and discovered the infant was still alive. When Babu comments on her necklace, she reveals it was a thank-you present from Asiya. In response to Babu’s inquiry as to whether or not she believed Major would have hurt his own wife for bearing a girl, Bi. Salama replies that everything transpired so rapidly that no one had time to think about the consequences.

Maria returns to the tent, where she hopes she won’t discover her ring stolen, but before she can do anything, she is struck down.
As JJ explains to Sada that the pregnancy is Kokan’s, Major takes pride in having warned her repeatedly about Sultana; Sada tries to stop him, but he insists that he has every right to do so because Kokan is his son and Major deserves to be held accountable for his actions. Fatima adds insult to injury by adding that Dida is the only woman for her and that she would be raising Fatima’s own grandchild if Dida hadn’t come in intoxicated and singing loudly and interrupted their chat. Fatima stops when she sees everyone, and she says that she expected everyone to be happy about Buya being gone.
While stewing in his room, JJ gets rid of every picture he has of Sultana.
JJ does some jumping jacks and push-ups in the mornings after his runs the next day. Sada searches for JJ in his room within the house.
Outside, the thugs debate whether they should tell Fatima that Maria has regained consciousness while they have her tied up. Maria yells for Obaro, and he comes running back to check on her.
As Sada walks downstairs, she asks Asiya if she’s seen JJ, but before she can answer, JJ bursts in, beaming like he’s never smiled before. He claims to feel better today than any other, but the two are still concerned because they know JJ is in pain.
Thugs beat Maria up and hold a gun to her head while demanding to know where Buya is.
