What was Witnessed in Arsenal’s 1-0 Loss Against Everton in the Premier League

Arsenal met Everton at the Goodison Park in another electrifying Premier League game. This was the start of Sean Dyche’s era as the Toffee’s boss. Sean Dyche gave Mikel Arteta a run for his money and he used the same players who Frank Lampard could not deliver with to hand Arsenal its second lose of the season.

The two Managers named very strong squads and Mikel Arteta stuck with his same starting eleven. It was a tough game from the word go and the Everton players seemed to overpower the Arsenal players in the defence and the midfield.

Seamus Coleman did not give Gabriel Martinelli any chance and he made him not to look like the star that the Arsenal fans know of. Vitally Mykolenko also pocketed Bukayo Saka and it was very tough for the England star to do what he is used to doing in every game.

The first half was a very tough one and it ended 0-0. The second half also started on a very high note. The Arsenal players tried to get something out of the game but the effect of a new Manager was too tough to overcome.

Mikel Arteta was forced to do some changes. He substituted Thomas Partey and introduced Jorginho. He also substituted the struggling Gabriel Martinelli and replaced him with Leandro Trossard. Less than two minutes after they came on, Everton got a goal through James Tarkowski who got a good cross from Dwight McNeil from the corner post.

This further made Mikel Arteta to make more changes, he was forced to remove captain Martin Odegaard and replaced him with Fabio Vieira. He also removed Ben White and replaced him with Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Sean Dyche only made one change and he replaced Dominic Calvert-Lewin with Neal Maupay. The game was beyond Arsenal’s reach and it ended 1-0 in favor of the new Manager who began his career at Everton on a winning note.
