Manchester United hosted Crystal Palace in another game of the English Premier League. This was a very tough game considering the squads that the two teams have. The two Managers named very strong squads for the encounter and it was evident that both the Managers wanted nothing but a win in that game.
The first half started on a very high note and Manchester United was on the right track. The Red Devils got a penalty and as usual, Bruno Fernandes stepped up and he did not disappoint at all. He scored a good goal that gave the Red Devils the lead that they needed.
The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Manchester United. The second half started on a high note and Erik ten Hag was not satisfied with the one goal lead. Luke Shaw gave Marcus Rashford a brilliant pass and the England international player scored the second goal.
Wout Weghorst who was signed on loan in order to help in scoring did not have a good game and he was substituted and his place was taken by Alejandro Garnacho. Antony struggled again and he was also taken off and his place was taken by Marcel Sabitzer.
Manchester United got a blow after Casemiro was given a red card and he was sent off. This gave Crystal Palace the opportunity to get back into the game. Cheick Oumar Doucoure gave Jeffrey Schlupp a good pass and he pulled one goal back.
Erik ten Hag was forced to react to Casemiro’s red card and he had to make some drastic changes in order to guard the lead that his team was having. He substituted Alejandro Garnacho who had not been on the pitch for long and brought in a reinforcement in the defence. He brought in Victor Lindelof.
He also took off Aaron Wan-Bissaka and brought in Harry Maguire. This therefore meant that the Red Devils reverted to a back five. It actually worked out well for the Manager and he got the results that he wanted.
Patrick Vieira also made some changes in his team. He substituted Jordan Ayew and replaced him with Eberechi Eze, Will Hughes with Albert Sambi Lokonga, Cheick Oumar Doucoure wih Naouirou Ahamada and Jeffrey Schlupp with Jean-Phillippe Mateta.
The game ended 2-1 in favor of Manchester United after sweating since Casemiro was sent off and the players were happy that they fought a good fight till the end.
