Everton hosted Arsenal at the Goodison Park for another game of the English Premier League. This was a very entertaining game because the two Managers named very strong squads for the encounter.
Mikel Arteta made some bold changes in his team and he rested Aaron Ramsdale who is the number one choice goalkeeper and replaced him with David Raya. He also heard the plea of the fans and he replaced Kai Havertz in the midfield with Fabio Vieira.
The first half started on a very high note and Arsenal showed that they really meant business and they wanted nothing but a win in that game. Gabriel Martinelli scored a goal but it was ruled out by the VAR because Bukayo Saka was in an offside position.
Gabriel Martinelli was unable to continue with the game because he signaled the Arsenal medical team that he was not feeling well. After being assessed by the medics, they requested the Brazilian to be substituted. He was taken off and Leandro Trossard took his position.
The first half ended 0-0. The second half was more lively because all the teams were looking for ways of winning the game. The Arsenal players took a short corner and Bukayo Saka gave Leandro Trossard a brilliant pass that led to the one and only goal of the game.
Mikel Arteta made some more changes in his squad. He substituted Eddie Nketiah and replaced him with Gabriel Jesus. He also substituted Fabio Vieira and replaced him with Kai Havertz and Oleksandr Zinchenko with Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Sean Dyche also made some changes in his team. He substituted Beto and replaced him with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure with James Garner, Ashley Young with Nathan Patterson and Dwight McNeil with Youssef Chermiti. The game ended 1-0 in favor of Arsenal and the team ended the 5 game winless streak at Goodison Park.
