Arsenal met the on form Brentford at the Emirates stadium for another game of the English Premier League. The game started on a very high note and the Brentford players proved to Arsenal and the Premier League why they have stayed unbeaten for a good number of games.
They got majority of the chances and they really bullied the Arsenal players. The forward players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were well marked and it was very difficult for them to penetrate the defence of Brentford. The first half ended 0-0.
The second half started on a very high note and Mikel Arteta needed to do something in order to get points out of the game. He substituted Gabriel Martinelli and replaced him with Leandro Trossard. The Belgian brought a lot of positive vibes in the team.
He managed to penetrate the areas that Gabriel Martinelli was not able to penetrate. He brought back the hopes of the club by scoring his first goal for the club. He received the pass from Bukayo Saka after a well calculated move by Martin Odegaard.
The goal did not stand for a very long time because Brentford also got an equalizer. This came from their striker who has been on form for a long period of time. Ivan Toney equalized the goal after he got a brilliant pass from Christian Norgaard.
Mikel Arteta further made only one change and he substituted Granit Xhaxa and replaced him with Fabio Vieira. Thomas Frank on the other end made several changes. He substituted Vitaly Janelt and replaced him with Josh Dasilva, Bryan Mbuemo with Yoane Wissa and Ivan toney with Kevin Schade.
The game ended 1-1 and Arsenal lost two more points again after losing three points last weekend against Everton.
