Chelsea met West Ham United in another game of the English Premier League. Graham Potter named a very strong squad and it signified that he needed nothing but a win in the game. His squad had Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marc Cucurella, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Reece James, Enzo Fernandez, Ruben Loftus Cheek, Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz.
David Moyes also named a very strong squad that made life very difficult for the Blues. His squad had Lukasz Fabianski,Thilo Kehrer, Angelo Ogbonna, Nayef Aguerd, Vladimir Coufal, Lucas Paqueta, Declan Rice, Emerson, Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio.
Chelsea got a couple of chances in the first half and two goals that were scored by the Blues were ruled out for offside positions. Enzo Fernandez played very well and he gave Joao Felix a good pass. The player on loan from Atletico Madrid did not disappoint at all. He opened up his scoring account for Chelsea.
Moments later, Emerson who is a former Chelsea player broke down the hearts of the Chelsea fans. He scored a goal after he received a good pass from Jarrod Bowen. This leveled things for West Ham United and the players got enough reasons to fight for something. The first half ended 1-1.
The second half also started on a very high note. The Managers tried their best to get a win but they did not manage. Graham Potter made some changes and brought in fresh legs. He substituted Marc Cucurella and brought in Ben Chilwell, Mykhailo Mudryk with Hakim Ziyech, Noni Madueke with Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus Cheek with Conor Gallagher.
David Moyes also made some substitutions. He took off Lucas Paqueta who was injured and replaced him with Tomas Soucek, Said Benrahma with Flynn Downes, Michail Antonio with Danny Ings and Nayef Aguerd with Ben Johnson.
Tomas Soucek’s winning goal for West Ham was disallowed towards the end of the game after the VAR ruled that it was offside. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
