What was Witnessed in Chelsea’s 1-0 Win Against Everton in the Premier League

Chelsea opened the new Premier League campaign season with an away game against Everton. Thomas Tuchel named a very strong squad with his reliable new signings in it. The goalpost had Edouard Mendy while the defence had Kalidou Koulibaly, Thiago Silva and Ceasar Azpilicueta.

The midfield had Ben Chilwell, Jorginho, N’golo Kante and Reece James. The forward line had Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz. The manager used 3-4-2-1 formation. Frank Lampard also named a very strong squad for that encounter.

He named Jordan Pickford in the goalpost and his defence had Ben Godfrey, Yery Mina and James Tarkowski. The midfield had Nathan Patterson, Doucoure, Alex Iwobi and Vitalii Mykolenko. The forward line had Dwight McNeil, Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon.

The game started on a very high note but it did not start well for Ben Godfrey. He got injured in the opening 10 minutes of the game. This forced the Manager to replace him. His place was taken by Mason Holgate.

The second half was also a tough one but Chelsea got a breakthrough via a penalty. Jorginho took it and put the Blues ahead. The two teams went for the first half break when the score line was 1-0 in favor of Chelsea.

The second half was also tough and the Managers tried their best and even brought in fresh legs. Thomas Tuchel substituted  Mason Mount and replaced him with Christian Pulisic, Ben Chilwell with Ruben Lofus Cheek, Kalidou Koulibaly with Marc Cucurella, Kai Havertz with Armando Broja and Jorginho with Conor Gallagher.

Frank Lampard substituted Dwilight McNeil and replaced him with Dele Ali. He also substituted Yerry Mina and replaced him with Ruben Vinagre. The game ended 1-0 in favor of Chelsea.
