What was Witnessed in Manchester United’s 2-0 Win Against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Semi-Final

Manchester United met Nottingham Forest in another game of the Carabao Cup semi-final. The Red Devils went into the game with an upper hand after winning the first leg of the semi-final. Erik ten Hag named a very strong squad because he wanted to confirm a spot in the final against Newcastle United.

He named a very strong squad and it was evident that the club was destined for a win. The Nottingham Forest players were also prepared and they were ready for the showdown. They gave Manchester United a run for their money in the first half. The two teams went into the break when the score line was 0-0.

The second half started on a very high note. It forced Erik ten Hag to change tact and also make some changes in order to get some good results. He substituted Alejandro Garnacho and replaced him with Marcus Rashford, Antony with Jadon Sancho, Wout Weghorst with Anthony Martial, Casemiro with Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane with Harry Maguire.

The substitutes immediately got into action and Marcus Rashford gave Anthony Martial a brilliant pass and the French international player scored a brilliant goal. Three minutes later, Marcus Rashford again gave Fred another pass and the Brazilian international player scored the second goal.

Steve Cooper who is the Nottingham Forest Manager also made some changes, he substituted Brennan Johnson and replaced him with Alexander Mighten, Remo Freuler with Danilo, Renan Lodi with Serge Aurier, Sam Surridge with Detlef Oong and Gustavo Scarpa with Oliver Hammond.

These two goals were enough to take the Red Devils to the final of the Carabao Cup. The game ended 2-0 in favor of Manchester United and with an aggregate of 5-0. The club will now face Newcastle United in the race for the Carabao Cup trophy.
