Manchester United met Brighton & Hove Albion in another game of the English Premier League. This was the first game for Erik ten Hag as the Manager of the club. He named a very strong squad but the players did not play to their level best to get a win in that game.
David De Gea was in the goalpost and he was being assisted in the defence with Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw. The midfield had Scott McTominay and Fred. The striking force had Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen.
The game started on a very high note and Brighton got the first goal after half an hour. Danny Welbeck gave Pascal Gross a good pass and he scored the opening goal. Moments later, Pascal Gross added the second goal and made things tough for the Red Devils.
The first half ended 2-0 in favor of Brighton. The second half also started on a very high note and it was very evident that Erik ten Hag wanted nothing but a win in that game. The club got one goal back after Alexis MacAllister scored an own goal in his own net.
The Manchester United Manager made some changes but the players did not manage to steer the team to a win. He substituted Fred and replaced him with Cristiano Ronaldo, Scott Mctominay with Donny Van De Beek, Jadon Sancho with Anthony Elanga, Luke Shaw with Tyrell and Bruno Fernandes with Alejandro Garnacho.
Graham Potter also made some changes and he substituted Leandro Trossard with Tariq Lamptey, Adam Lallana with Enock Mwepu, Solly March with Levi Colwill and Danny Welbeck with Deniz Undav. The game ended 2-1 in favor of Brighton.
