Spain met Switzerland in another tough game of the Euro qualifiers. The two Managers named very strong squads for that encounter. Luis Enrique named a very strong squad with Unai Simon in the goalpost, the defence had Cesar Azpilicueta, Eric Garcia, Pau Torres and Jordi Alba.
The midfield was packed with Pablo Gavira, Sergio Busquets and Pedri. The forward line had Ferran Torres, Marco Asensio and Pablo Sarabia. Murat Yakin also named a very strong squad for that encounter. His goalpost had Yann Sommer, the defence had Ricardo Rodriguez, Nico Elvedi, Manuel Akanji and Silvan Widmer.
The midfield had Granit Xhaxa and Remo Freuler while thw forward line contained Ruben Vargas, Djibril Sow, Xherdan Shaqiri and Breel Embolo. The first half started on a very high note and the Switzerland players showed that they wanted nothing but a win in the game.
Manuel Akanji opened the score line after just 21 minutes of play. He was given the assist by Ruben Vargas. They held onto this win until the end of the first half. The second half also started on a very high note and the Spanish players tried their best and pulled an equalizer through Jordi Alba who was assisted by Marco Asensio.
The equalizer did not last for long, three minutes later, Breel Embolo added the second goal for Switzerland. He was given a fantastic assist by Manuel Akanji who scored the first goal. The game went on like that and Switzerland finally won it with 2 goals to one against Spain.
