The new English Premier League season has already kicked off and various clubs have started recording some good results. One of the clubs that has actually shown the intentions of clinching many titles this season is Chelsea. There are very many reasons as to why Chelsea will be the hardest nut to crack in the Premier League this season.
First of all, the club has all the quality that is needed in terms of the depth of the squad in all the departments. The goalkeeping department has two good goalkeepers. Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga. They all have very good skills and they can all perform well. The Manager has very many options in this area and he can change the players the way he want. All of them have very unique skills and they all have a different thing that they can offer. They can also shield the club by keeping very many clean sheets.
Chelsea also has some experienced wing backs. The club has two strong left backs and that is Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell. These are very good players who can defend and also attack at the same time. They can also be referred to as overlapping defenders because they know when to attack and when to fall back and help the defence.
The right back position also has two key players. The players are Recee James and Cesar Azpilicueta. The Spaniard is the Captain of the side and he offers a lot of leadership skills to the team. Recee James is also a very good player and that is why Gareth Southgate included him in the final England squad that participated in the last EURO competition. The players also not only know how to defend but also to attack.
The blues also have some good midfielders. Some of the celebrated midfielders are Ngolo Kante who won the World Cup with France and Jorginho who recently won the EURO with Italy. This just shows how well equipped the club is in terms of midfielders. The other midfielders are Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley. They can help the club in times of injury crisis.

This was very evident in his first game for the club after returning. He scored a goal against Arsenal after just the first fifteen minutes. This just shows how the club will perform in the Premier League this season. It is a clear indication that it will be a hard nut to crack. The club also has a backup striker who is Timo Werner. Romelu Lukaku’s presence in the team may help him to improve on his game and also regain his confidence back. He has not yet settled well in the club ever since he joined from Germany.
Chelsea will also be a hard nut to crack this season because the club has a Manager who knows how to handle the team very well. Thomas Tuchel has managed to bring the club back to its winning ways. He was appointed to take the place of Frank Lampard and he has already managed to make a name for himself. He managed to give the club the UEFA Champions League trophy and the Super Cup in just few months of his tenure.
The club may also be a very hard nut to crack because the club is the current and reigning Champions of the UEFA Champions League. The players will try and do their best so that they can keep that title. This means that it will be very tough for other teams to beat Chelsea and even get points from that team. The title of the European Champions is too big and therefore the club must try its best in order to defend it.
Another reason why the club may be a hard nut to crack is the fact it has an owner who does not like nonsense. He is result oriented and that is why he always fires all Managers who do not produce good results. This will give the Manager the pressure to produce quality results so that he can secure and safeguard his job.
Chelsea will also be a hard nut to crack this season because it started the new season on a very high note. The club won its second match against Arsenal which defeated it home and away last season. This is a clear indication that the club has started to fix the problems that it had last season.
