Manchester United will host Chelsea in another mouthwatering game of the English Premier League. The game will be played at the Old Trafford stadium but this is not a guarantee that Manchester United will emerge victorious.
The two clubs have all been recording mixed reactions this season and it is even hard to predict which team will lose and which team will win. There are however very many reasons as to why Chelsea will teach Manchester United a lesson in their own home ground.
There seem to be a problem at the Manchester United dressing room. This means that the team is not intact as at now and hence this is what has been leading to the dismal and poor performance that the club has been recording this season.
Manchester United has also been performing poorly at home and the club has lost 5 of the 11 home games that it has played in all competitions this season. This may give Chelsea the opportunity to inflict another pain after Newcastle United was the latest club to walk away with all the three points in their last home game in front of the Manchester United fans.
Chelsea on the other hand has been developing well and the players have started to get along very well. This means that the players will take advantage of the vulnerability of the Manchester United team and beat the club in its own home ground.
Chelsea has also been recording very good results against the big clubs this season. Mauricio Pochettino knows how to play his cards when it comes to the teams that are deemed as the best in the Premier League as at now.
The midfield of Chelsea where things are cooked also looks more organized as compared to that of Manchester United. Enzo Fernandes and Moises Caicedo are all experienced players and they have the ability to turn things around.
In Manchester United’s case, the midfield maestro’s like Casemiro and Christian Eriksen will not be able to take part in the game because of the injuries that they have. This may give Chelsea a leeway in the midfield.
