What was Witnessed in Arsenal’s 3-1 Comeback Win Against Southampton

Arsenal met the embattled Southampton in another Premier League game. Mikel Arteta rotated his squad and brought in Thomas Partey at right back for the injured Jurrien Timber, he also brought in Jorginho and Raheem Sterling in the team.

The first half was very dry for both teams and it ended 0-0. The second half started on a very high note and Arsenal got a scare after Mateus Fernandes set up a good pass for Cameron Archer who opened the score line for Southampton.

Arsenal needed to rise to the occasion and Kai Havertz who has now scored in each and every game at the Emirates Stadium this season.  He was given a very good pass by Bukayo Saka.

Mikel Arteta turned to his bench and made a triple change that eventually won the game for him. He substituted Gabriel Jesus and replaced him with Leandro Trossard, Jorginho with Mikel Merino and Raheem Sterling with Gabriel Martinelli.

Bukayo Saka set up a good pass and Gabriel Martinelli scored the goal that put Arsenal ahead. The Gunners did not stop at that point, they continued pressuring their opponents and Bukayo Saka finally got his own share of the goal after setting up the two goals.

Mikel Arteta further made some defensive changes and he substituted Thomas Partey and replaced him with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Riccardo Calafiori with Jakub Kiwior. The game finally ended 3-1 in a win for Arsenal.

This now means that Arsenal is still unbeaten in the Premier League this season and their unbeaten run continues.
