The Kenya Kwanza coalition was formed by many politicians and technocrats. It was evident that President William Ruto was going to have a very hard time in making some appointments in the government after his win was upheld by the Supreme Court.
The President named the nominees of various slots in the Cabinet. He rewarded his loyalists but not all of them could fit in the Cabinet because of the few slots that are provided by the constitution. Some of the foot soldiers of his UDA party who got rewarded heavily are Professor Kithure Kindiki, honorable Kipchumba Murkomen, Aden Duale, Alice Wahome, Mithika Linturi, Salim Mvurya and Aisha Jumwa.
There are however some of the close allies of President William Ruto who missed the plum positions. They are honorable Ndindi Nyoro who is the sitting Member of Parliament of Kiharu constituency. He is a very close ally of the President and he is one of the people who accompanied him to his recent international trip in the UK and the US.
The others are honorable Josephat Nanok who is the former Governor of Turkana County. He jumped from the ODM party and stood still with President William Ruto until the last minute. He was also very instrumental at the Bomas of Kenya during the tallying and verification of the Presidential results.

Honorable Johnstone Muthama who is the former Senator of Machakos County also missed on the lucrative Cabinet slots. He was also President Ruto’s pointman in the Ukambani region. His former Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua however landed the Foreign Affairs Ministry despite the fact that he joined the Alliance late after shifting from the Azimio La Umoja coalition.
David Ndii who is also an economic enthusiast also missed a Cabinet slot. The others are honorable Hassan Omar who lost his Mombasa County Gubernatorial bid and honorable Okoth Obado who is the former Governor of Migori County.
