Murder cases have been on the rise and yet again another lady has been stabbed to death by her boyfriend in what is suspected to be another love triangle.
Sheryl Awino who is a first year student at Mawego Polytechnic was stabbed by her boyfriend to death. The boyfriend is also a student at Mawego Polytechnic. The sad part is that, Sheryl Awino was pregnant and she also lost her unborn baby.
The father of Sheryl Awino, John Odongo was requested by the roommate of Sheryl that, her daughter had been admitted at Kendu Adventist Hospital but later succumbed to death. After doing some inquiries, they realized that Sheryl Awino was in her hostel on Friday when his boyfriend visited him.
The two lovers spent the night together and there was no sign of anything bad until 5am on Saturday morning when the neighbors started hearing some commotion coming from their room. The boyfriend stabbed her abdomen and when she was rushed to Kendu Adventist Hospital, the medical officers also learnt that she was expectant and was expectant.
The family said that, they want justice to be served for their daughter and the suspect to be arrested and charged for murder. The Police Commander of Rachuonyo North said that they have already began their investigations and they are after the suspect who is still missing.
Sheryl who was pursuing a Land Survey course lost her life using a kitchen knife. It is still not known exactly why the boyfriend decided to take her life away. It is however suspected that, it may be another love triangle.
Death cases have been so much and very many ladies have fallen victims of such untimely deaths. Something needs to be done because the cases are increasing on a daily basis and there is nothing much that is being done to contain such acts from happening.
