Written by Femicide cases have become so much and once again another mutilated body of a lady was found in Homabay County. The body of the lady was picked and it was realized that, she was burnt with acid too.
The body was picked in Kamanyonge village in Kamasengre in Homabay County. The shocking part is that; the body was picked at the same spot where the body of another lady was picked barely just a month ago.
This trend has been growing so fast and the ladies are no longer safe. The gender based violence has gone so high and something needs to be done. This January the cases have been so many too just like last year.
We thought that the cases were going to reduce but the growing trend is so alarming. This is the same week that a man was also caught by the police while carrying the body parts of his wife in a bag. He was arrested in Huruma when the police officers were conducting their patrol.

He admitted that he indeed committed the crime and said that, he murdered his wife because he found him with another man. He suspected that his wife was cheating on him.
Purity Langat was also found murdered in Kitale in this same week. This week has been full of tragedy and a lot of femicide cases.

The investigative officers need to speed up with their investigations so that all the people who are ending the lives of the ladies in the country can be brought to book once and for all. This matter should be treated with a lot of urgency that it requires. It should not be overlooked because it is now becoming a norm in the country.
Those who also have information regarding these people should also come out and tell the authorities so that they can be brought to book.
