Arsenal’s Squad Grows Thinner as Another Injury Hits the Club

Arsenal has really suffered when it comes to injuries this season. The available players have however proven their selves beyond reasonable doubt that they have the capacity to cover up for each other. When Martin Odegaard got injured, some fans thought that the club was going to be sluggish, the players covered up very well and won many games.

The hardest hit of injury was that of Bukayo Saka who has always been the player of the season year in year out. The team has adjusted without him and the players are really doing a fantastic job as they represent him while he still recovers.

Arsenal has again been hit by another injury. Gabriel Martinelli got injured against Newcastle United and this is a major concern to the club. His injury is the latest and it is a very serious one because, he is currently one of the dependable forward players now that Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus are all out with injuries.

He has gotten injured just after the close of the January transfer window and Arsenal did not buy any winger or striker to supplement the team. This now leaves Mikel Arteta scratching his head because he has remained with a very thin squad.

The least people who he expects to get injured are the forward players. Mikel Arteta will therefore have to make some adjustments to his team. It now means that, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri should brace themselves for playing more minutes or even the entire game.

This means that only Raheem Sterling will be the forward player who will be on the bench. This is very scary because the Chelsea man has failed to impress the team ever since he was signed on loan. This literally means that there are no other forward players who will help the club.

Mikel Arteta should therefore look for other alternatives and see if he can promote another winger or forward player in the Academy who can come and fill in the void that has been left by the injured players.
