Manchester United suffered a massive 3-0 defeat in front of their home fans at the Old Trafford against Manchester City. The loss was attributed to many factors and some key players were blamed by the fans for not showing their prowess and qualities in the derby.
The fans however defended one player and they said that he should not be cricified for that loss because he tried all his best to keep the club in the game and he even went ahead to make sure that the defeat was not very humiliating.
The fans said that if it were not for Andre Onana, then Manchester United could have gotten the worst beating of the season. According to them, the Cameroonian international did his best and made very crucial saves in the game.
They said that he denied Erling Haaland some goal scoring opportunities that were very clear and thefefore he is the one who made the difference as far as the scoreline is concerned because the goals could have poured like rain.
The fans also said that Andre Onana was on top of his game and therefore they cannot blame him for the mistakes that was caused by the Manager on his selection. According to them, Andre Onana was weakened by his defense.
They urged the manager never to be selective when choosing the players to play. They urged him to make the selectin based on performance and form of a player. They also urged him to change his tactics and never go to any game with a defensive mind.
