Ten Hag in Trouble as Pressure Mounts on him to rip Bruno Fernandes Manchester United’s Captaincy

Pressure has started mounting on Erik ten Hag who is the Manager of Manchester United to rip off the Captaincy armband from Bruno Fernandes the same way he did to Harry Maguire. This id after he yet performed dismally against Manchester City at the Old Trafford and this led to the 3-0 thrashing of the Red Devils.

Bruno Fernandes has not once but many times failed to up his game when Manchester United meet the big clubs. This has always made the club to lose because there is nobody who is leading from the front as a real leader who wants nothing but the best for the club.

Many fans have started questioning his credibility as a captain. Roy Keane pilled the pressure on Erik ten Hag and even hinted that he should take the captaincy away from Bruno Fernades. He said that he knows that it is a very big decision to make as a Manager but what he is sure about is that Bruno Fernandes is not a Captain material.

He gave his reasons based on what he witnessed on the pitch as Manchester City was butchering Manchester United. According to him, his whining, moaning and throwing of his arms up in the air is something which is not acceptable at all from a leader.

He even added that for Manchester United to progress well, then the Manager has to quickly rip Bruno Fernandes the captaincy armband. He added that what is needed is change and it has to come from somewhere. The place that it has to start with is with the Captaincy.

“After today and having watched him again, I would definitely take the Captaincy off him 100 percent. I know it is a big decision, obviously he changed the captaincy with Harry Maguire, but Bruno Fernandes is not captain material.”

“I think he is a talented player no doubt about it, but what I saw from him today, his whining, his moaning, his throwing of arms up in the air constantly, it is really not acceptable. What we saw today, I would take it off him.”

We are talking about making changes, you have to start somewhere whether it is the board level, Managers, I would start with that because the Manager is capable of doing that and holding his hands up and say that listen I got it wrong.”

Jamie Carragher also added that nobody can explain what Manchester United is trying to do as far as playing football is concerned. He added that he has been in the club for so long and he should be able to turn things around just like the other Managers have managed to do with their clubs.

“None of us here can still explain what Manchester United is trying to do in terms of how they play. Ten Hag has been here now nearly 18 months, we have seen Unai Emery come in at Aston Villa, we have seen Ange Postecoglou come in at Tottenham Hotspurs and they have all turned things around in a very short period of time. That does not mean that you win in every week but when you go to the games, you know what you are going to see. We still do not know what we are going to see with Manchester United. You tell me how they play with the ball?”

The pressure is becoming too much on Erik ten Hag and he should try his best and find a way in which he will take Manchester United back to winning ways. He should also find a way that his Captain Bruno Fernandes will not be seen as a liability but as a great asset.
