The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, honorable Rigathi Gachagua has recounted that they talked at length with General Francis Ogolla just one day before his death at the Bomas of Kenya during the Wage Bill Conference.
He eulogized General Francis Ogolla as a very vibrant, pleasant and joyous person with a distinct and admirable demeanor. He also stated that General Francis Ogolla served Kenya with sheer determination and unparalleled distinction.
Honorable Rigathi Gachagua also stated that the country has lost a great patriot who gave his best in protecting Kenya.
“It was only yesterday afternoon that General Francis Ogolla and I had a really hearty conversation at the Bomas of Kenya during the Wage Bill Conference. General Francis Ogolla was a very vibrant, pleasant and joyous person, with a distinct and admirable demeanor. He served our Nation with sheer determination and unparalleled distinction. We have lost a great patriot who gave his best in protecting our country. May God grant the Family of General Ogolla, the other Families which lost their loved ones in this tragic accident, the KDF Fraternity and Nation, the strength to bear the loss. Rest well General.”
The loss of General Francis Ogolla has really touched many people and many people have still not come into terms that he is no more. The concerns of the people speak volumes and it shows that he was loved by many people and his services were truly treasured by Kenyans including the ruling elite in the government. He will be laid to rest on Sunday at his home in Siaya County.
