Former Miss Kenya, Emma Too has come out to defend her friend Annie Sumbeiywo who lately tied the know with his longtime lover Nick Odhiambo who is a Radio presenter at Hot 96.
She went on her social media platforms and defended her friend. She wrote that why does the social media platforms and to be specific Twitter thrive on gossip and rumors. She also posed a question that why do people abuse a platform that can be put for something meaningful as opposed to bringing harm.
“Why does this platform thrive on gossip and rumors?!!! Why do we abuse a platform that can do more good than harm?!”
The former Miss Kenya also lectured those who thrive in spreading fake information and rumors that are baseless. She even said that it is very sad that other people are bent to destroying the lives of others by spreading fake information in the name of looking for likes.
He told off those people who are looking for likes to focus on major things that can impact people positively in the society so that they can get the number of likes that they are looking for.
“Why we thrive on spreading lies and hurting others and to what end? For Likes? What do these likes do for your livelihood? If you want likes, do some good in the world that touches the lives of others, don’t thrive on destroying others with likes.”
Emma Too told off Kenyans to leave her sister Annie Sumbeiywo alone and keep her off their wickedness. She added that Annie Sumbeiywo who is Nick Odhiambo’s wife is a beautiful lady with a very beautiful soul.
Emma Too added that Annie Sumbeiywo is an accomplished woman and dragging her name with the photos of another woman is totally out of order.
“That said, leave my sister Annie out of your wickedness. She’s a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. She’s an accomplished woman with her own right, dragging her name on X with pics of another woman is completely unacceptable.”
She further went ahead and asked Nick Odhiambo to set the record straight so that people can know the truth. Nick Odhiambo had already come out and he had addressed the issue and said that the person in that screenshot was not his wife and that was a screenshot of ten years ago.
Emma Too also asked the person who started that whole madness to offer Annie Sumbeiywo an apology for tarnishing her name.
