The Premier League released the Nominees for different categories for the 2023/2024 Awards. This was in line with how good the players and the Managers have performed this season.
Player of the Season
In this category, the players who were nominated are those who have really been in the forefront in helping their clubs. Arsenal and Manchester City who have so far dominated the Premier League this season has two players.
Arsenal has their Captain Martin Odegaard who has been very fantastic this season and he has really helped the club in creating chances and it is very evident in the goal difference that the Gunners have so far.
Another player that Arsenal has in that category is their record signing Declan Rice. The English international player has been superb ever since he was bought and he has managed to silence his critics because he has proven that he is worth the amount that he was bought for. He has managed to stablelize the midfield of Arsenal.
Manchester City has Phil Foden who has also been very superb and Erling Haaland who will surely get the golden boots again because nobody can match his scoring prowess.
The other players who are in this category are Cole Palmer who has been the best player at Chelsea ever since he switched from Manchester City, Virgil Van Dijk of Liverpool, Alexander Isak of Newcastle United and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.
Young Player of the Season
This category has some very promising stars and it is as good as saying that there are some upcoming players who will be a force to reckon with in future. The Nominees are Phil Foden and Erling Haaland of Manchester City, Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, Kobbie Mainoo of Manchester United, Cole Palmer of Chelsea, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba of Arsenal and Udogie of Tottenham Hotspurs.
Manager of the Season
The Manager of the Season is also very interesting because the Nominees are Managers who have all done their best and they have made sure that their clubs are in the best positions that they are in.
They are, Mikel Arteta of Arsenal who has given Pep Guardiola and Manchester City a run for their money, Pep Guardiola of Manchester City, Unai Emery of Aston Villa, Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool and Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth.
