England hosted Andorra in another game of the World Cup qualifiers. Gareth Southgate named his second team for this encounter and rested a couple of players in his first team. He rested Jordan Pickford and gave Sam Johnstone a chance to be between the posts. All the defenders were also rested and replaced by Conor Coady, Tyrone Mings, Reece James and Kieran Trippier. Trent Alexander Arnold was also incorporated into the team but he played in the midfield alongside Jordan Henderson and Jude Bellingham. The striking force had Jesse Lingard of Manchester United, Patrick Bamford of Leeds United and Bukayo Saka of Arsenal.
The Manager of Andorra also named a squad which he thought could give England a challenge. The goalkeeper was Josep Gomes. The defenders were Nicolas, Garca, Marc Vales, Max Llovera and Jesus Rubio. The midfield had Ludovic Clemente, Marc Rebes and Jordi Rubio. The forward line had Aaron Sanchez and Marcio Vieira. The Manager used a 5-3-2 formation but it did not work very well for him.
The first half started very well and the England players showed that they meant nothing but business. Jesse Lingard opened the score line and scored a brilliant goal from Bukayo Saka’s cross which was intercepted. He proved Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wrong that he is not a player who should be put on the bench all the time. His goal is the one that stood until the end of the first half. They went for the break when the score line was 1-0 in favor of England.
The second half also resumed on a very positive note. Gareth Southgate made a tripple change and removed some players and added three lethal attackers to increase the goal tally. He substituted Jude Bellingham and gave Mason Mount his position, he also removed Patrick Bamford and his place was taken by Harry Kane the Captain. The moment he stepped into the pitch Jordan Henderson gave him the Captaincy arm band.
Reece James was also substituted and his place was taken by Jack Grealish. This now made Trent Alexander Arnold to move back to the right back position. Mason Mount filled the gap in the midfield. These changes worked very well. Mason Mount was brought down in the penalty box and the referee awarded the penalty because he was in a goal scoring opportunity. Harry Kane took the penalty and scored the second goal for England. This marked his 40th goal for his National team.
The Coach of Andorra made some changes in order to get better results. He removed Aaron Sanchez and replaced him with Ricard Fernandez, Jordi Rubio with Marc Garcia, Luovic Clemente with Alex Martinez, Marcio Vieira with Lima and Moises San Nicolas with Joan Cervos. The players did not help their team because the England team was too much for them and the experience of the players including the young ones was on another level.
The England players did not stop scoring. Bukayo Saka gave Jesse Lingard another pass and he added the third goal for England. Moments later, Jesse Lingard returned the favor to Bukayo Saka and the young Arsenal player scored the fourth goal for his team. He scored a perfect header past the goalkeeper. This is a goal that he will never forget in his life because he scored it on his 20th birthday. This was his birthday gift and he was really applauded by the other players.
He impressed majority of the fans and they wished him a happy birthday. He is still a very young player, and the way he plays proves that England has a good squad even in the coming years. The second team of Gareth Southgate also performed very well generally and the goalkeeper also kept a clean sheet. The game ended 4-0 in favor of England and the Nation is currently leading the table with a total of 15 points out of five games.
Belarus on the other hand hosted Wales in another game of the World Cup qualifiers. Robert Page named a very strong squad for that encounter. Danny Ward was the man in charge of the goalpost. The defence had Ben Davies, Chris Mepham Lawrence and Chris Gunter. The midfield contained Joe Morrel, Joe Allen and Rubin Colwill. The striking force had Gareth Bale, Brennan Johnson and Daniel James. The Manager used a 4-3-3 formation which has been working for him for a long period of time.
The Belarus team had Sergey Chernik in the goal post. The defence had Shvetsov, Khadarkevich,Sachivko and Nikola Zolotov. The midfield had Begunov, Max Ebong Bykov and Klimovich and Pavel Sedko. There was only one forward player and that is Vitali Lisakovich. The manager used a 4-5-1 formation with a very packed midfield.
The first half started on a very high note and Wales took the lead through a penalty that was taken by Gareth Bale. This goal made the Belarus players to improve on their game. Thy also got a penalty. Vitali Lisakovich stepped up and he equalized the goal. Two minutes later, he gave Pavel Sedko a good pass and he added their second goal. The first half ended 2-1 in favor of Belarus.
The second half started on a very high note and the Manager of Wales decided to only make two changes. He removed Rubin Colwill and replaced him with Mark Harris, he also substituted Brennan Johnson and replaced him with Jonathan Williams. The Belarus Manager made a number of changes and he substituted Pavel Sedko and replaced him with Roman Yuzepchuk, Max Ebong with Dmitriy Podstrelov, Roman Begunov with Gleb Shevchenko and Vitali Lisakovich with Maksim Skavysh.
Wales got the second penalty and Gareth Bale converted it again. The game was going to end in a 2-2 draw but Daniel James teamed up well with Gareth Bale and he made sure that the Captain got a hat trick and they also got all the three points. Wales won the game 3-2. The Nation is currently in the third position with only six points while Belarus is in the fourth position with three points.
