Celebrated actress Winnie Bwire who also took part in Sultana that was airing sometime back in Citizen TV has finally breathed her last.
She succumbed to Cancer as she was undergoing treatment in Turkey. The sad news was relayed by her family on Thursday morning after losing her. She has been battling cancer for some time now and she has really fought hard in that battle.
The family wrote a statement that read:
“It is with profound sorrow and a heartfelt acceptance of God’s Divine will that we announce the passing of Winfred Bwire Ndubi, who lost her courageous battle against cancer on the 5th of September, 2024, while undergoing treatment in Turkey. We thank you all for your overwhelming support, prayers and generous giving during her treatment. We will share more details in due course. God bless you all.”
The family extended their gratitude to everybody who played a role during Winnie Bwire’s battle with cancer. There are those who committed their resources and helped where necessary and there are also those who committed her in prayers.
The family has acknowledged the role of each and every person in making sure that Winnie Bwire got the best treatment when she needed.

Winnie Bwire was battling with breast cancer. A big talent has exited the film industry and it is sad that she has exited the stage while suffering from a very stubborn disease that has robbed very many people their loved ones.
This is indeed a sad moment not only for the family but also for Kenyans who were consuming her content. She has been a strong cancer patient but unfortunately, she succumbed to it.
Our hope is that, one day this deadly cancer will also be terminated and its solution will be found once and for all because it cannot continue to claim the lives of people each and every day.
