Brentford hosted Manchester United in one of the heated games of the English Premier League. The home team did their best and they kept Manchester United at bay until the last minute of the game.
The game started on a very high note but there was nothing substantial about it except the woodwork that was hit several times with the Brentford players. The two teams went for the half time break when the score line was 0-0.
Manchester United suffered an injury scare in the first half and therefor Raphael Varane did not return in the second half. He was replaced by Harry Maguire. Erik ten Hag also made some more changes as the game was progressing but the game was still tough.
Alejandro Garnacho was substituted and his place was taken by Antony. Victor Lindelof was substituted and his place was taken by Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo with Casemiro and Marcus Rashford with Mason Mount.
Thomas Frank also made some changes in his squad. He substituted Yoane Wissa and replaced him with Bryan Mbeumo, Yehor Yamoliuk with Mikkel Damsgaard, Keane Lewis-Potter with Saman Ghoddos and Mads Roerslev with Neal Maupay.
Brentford players hit the Woodwork several times and this really saved and kept the Manchester United players in the game. The substitutes of Erik ten Hag worked well for him and Casemiro gave Mason Mount a good pass that led to their goal.
The celebration was however short lived because Brentford equalized just after that goal. Ivan Toney gave Kristoffer Ajer a good pass and he scored the equalizing goal.
Brentford really played well and if at all they could have scored all the goals that were blocked, then Manchester United could have not collected even one goal. The game ended 1-1 after a lot of drama.
