Arsenal fans have been left shocked once again by the decision that was made by FA to charge the club, for not containing its players during the game against Wolves when Myles Lewis-Skelly was given a red card.
The Arsenal players complained about that decision because Myles Skelly was not the last man and he did not hit the opponent intentionally. He just wanted to hit the ball and since they were all on the move, he accidentally missed the ball and hit his opponent.
The decision by Michael Oliver was deemed as harsh because it did not warrant a red card. It probably warranted a yellow card as a caution and not a straight red card.
Arsenal later went and appealed that decision. The red card was rescinded and overturned. Mikel Arteta confirmed that, he received the news while they were on the plane moving to Spain to face Girona in the Champions League. Myles Lewis Skelly was sleeping at that time and the fans can remember very well that, he was spotted carrying a pillow when they were going to board the plane.
The Arsenal fans said that, it is very insane for FA to charge Arsenal for the conduct of its players. This is because, the same thing that made the players to have a lot of rage was overturned and therefore the behavior of the players should also not be put in the balance.
They added that, if the right decision was made at the onset, then there could have been no player who could have acted in a bad way.
The players were just trying their best to protect their wonder kid. What does not now make sense is the fact that, the red card was overturned but the club has still been charged for the misconduct of the players.
