How West Ham United Suffered a Painful 2-1 Loss to the No Nonsense Brentford

West Ham United met the no nonsense and stubborn Brentford in another game of the English Premier League at the London Stadium. David Moyes named his strongest side for that encounter with Kurt Zouma and Ogbonna at the heart of the defence, Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek in the midfield and Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Michail Antonio in the forward line.

The first half started on a very high note and the Brentford strikers caught the West Ham defenders offguard. Bryan Mbeumo scored the opening goal. Thomas Frank was forced to make an early substitution in the first half, he removed Shandon Baptiste and replaced him with Mathias Jensen. They managed to hold onto that lead until the end of the first half which ended 1-0 in favor of Brentford.

The West Ham players tried their best and they got an equalizing goal in the last ten minutes of the game. It was scored by Jarrod Bowen who was given an assist by Tomas Soucek. This triggered the Manager of Brentford to make two more double changes in response to West Ham’s goal.

He substituted Bryan Mbeumo and replaced him with Yoane Wissa. He also substituted Frank Onyeka and replaced him with Mads Bidstrup. The substitutes were only in the pitch for a short period of time but their impact was felt. Yoane Wissa scored the winning goal in the last minute of the added time and gave Brentford a win in that game and three points. The game ended 2-1 in favor of Brentford.
