Manchester United Players who Have Been Released by the Club as Part of the Overhaul

Manchester United has taken some drastic decision and decided to release some players so that they can look for greener pastures elsewhere. It was officially confirmed that injury prone French international player Anthony Martial who has played for the club in 317 games will now leave the club.

He will leave despite his 90 goals that he scored for the club. He has been very unlucky with injuries and this has made him to become more of a liability to the club instead of becoming an asset to help the club in scoring goals because that is the department that has also been performing dismally.

His fellow countryman Raphael Varane will also follow him after falling surplus of requirement after making that historic switch from Real Madrid. He brought class and maturity and experience to the club but it was not enough to steer the club to greater heights.

Brandon Williams who also graduated from the Academy will also depart after the expiry of his contract. The full back will now have to look for another club that will guarantee him more playing time. He is leaving as a proven player because he got the chance to appear for the first team in 51 games.

Other players who will also depart are Marcus Lawrence, Charlie McNeil and Kie Plumley who are Academy players.

The club is however still in negotiations with Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton and Shola Shoretire over potential new contracts so that they can continue to serve the club.

Omari Forson has however secured a new contract and he is expected to stay in the club next season.

There may however be more departures and contract terminations because the club will still focus on rebuilding a new project and more players may be forced to look for greener pastures elsewhere as new players are brought on board.
