The Head of State, President William Ruto has awarded the former Chairperson of the IEBC, honorable Issack Hassan with a plum government job as the Chairperson of the Independent Policy Oversight Authority (IPOA). He will take over from Mrs. Anne Makori who was the holder and bearer of that office.
President William Ruto also named the members who he will sere with at IPOA like, Ann Wanjiku Mwangi, Micah Onyiego Nyakego, Boniface Kipkemoi Samati, Annette Mbogoh, John Muchiri Nyaga, Kenwilliams Nyakomitah and Jackline Lukalo Mwenesi.
The Head of State also made some other appointments in his government. He considered other regions having in mind that he is forming a broad based government.
He appointed Charles Orinda Dulo as the new chairperson of the Commission of Administrative Justice (Ombudsman). He will now take over that office from Florence Kajuju.
The President also made fresh appointments for nominees to the Salaries and Remuneration Chairperson Commission (SRC) and the docket was awarded to Sammy Chepkwony has been announced as the new chairperson designate and he will now replace Lyn Cherop Mengich who has been the Chairperson of SRC for some time now.
Further Reports indicate that, the Head of State is not yet done with his appointments and he will announce others in the coming days.
It is also expected that, members from the ODM party will continue to get some of the appointments after agreeing to form the broad based government that saw some of the top officials join the Cabinet. The officials who joined the government are honorable Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya, Opiyo Wandayi and John Mbadi.
