When Sultana calls for her mother, Maria comes in and pulls her aside to explain that they’ve run into yet another difficulty paying the bill and that she’s worried about where she’ll find the money. When Sultana overhears their conversation, she assures her mother that she’s fine and that she wants to be discharged, but Maria is taken aback because just a few minutes earlier, she had told her that her daughter was not doing well.
When Amina and Kaka return home, Kaka assumes that Amina wants to have a private conversation about the situation. However, Amina becomes abrupt, telling Kaka that she is tired and has a lot of work to do in order to prepare food for sale the following day because people come to the city to work and not to sleep. Kaka explains that she was only attempting to change the subject, and that after spending some time with her, he has come to appreciate her as a model wife. He then declares his love for her. Amina urges him against making statements he doesn’t fully comprehend since it reinforces her belief that males in general are dishonest.
Asiya comes in and asks Fatima why she isn’t brave enough before Major; Asiya wants to know why Fatima had to send Major to take her phone, and Fatima claims she has nothing to do with it, assuring Asiya that she will speak to him and have her phone returned to her after the call ends. Asiya warns her off by comparing her to a snake, which can be fatal if allowed to slither slowly to its prey. Incredulous that Asiya would have the nerve to disrespect her in private, Fatima instead requests that Asiya leave her room.
Sultana asks Maria if she has left her mother, and Maria assures her that she hasn’t. Sultana wonders why Maria is taking so long to deal with the doctors, and Maria tries to calm her down by telling her that her mother needs to look for fare so that they can move to a new place, but Sultana insists that she is fine with just walking and tells Maria about the time they fled their previous house, and how she was the second suspect after JJ and soon the police caught up
At a meeting with Babu and Mwanzele, Zuu breaks the news about Bi. Salama’s absence. Mwanzele thinks it’s strange that Bi. Salama and Kaka vanished at roughly the same time, given that they knew Buya was hiding out at Maneno’s.
When Sultana is sound asleep, she recalls the time she accidentally shoved Kokan and yells out, “I didn’t mean to lose my pregnancy!” Maria awakens her and Sultana explains what she means. Maria retrieves the wheelchair from the hospital and tells Sultana it’s time. Sultana touches the wheelchair and wonders where Maria got it, but Maria is more worried that Sultana’s situation will worsen if she runs away. However, Sultana isn’t concerned about that; instead, she reminds Maria that the same thing happened to her and asks her to make an even greater effort this time around.
JJ becomes worried and attempts to find out from Sada what happened, but Sada tells him to relax and that Bi. Salama has already called her to seek for aid because she doesn’t think she can continue with the intentions of going away after Sultana fainted and lost her pregnancy after they left.
Maria wheels Sultana out of the hospital in a wheelchair, but the receptionist messes up their escape route, so they have to wait. The nurse checks the room, but doesn’t see Sultana; Maria and Sultana make a break for it, but the nurse catches them at the door.
