When Doc goes to see JJ in jail, he can’t believe Major would do something like that to his son. When JJ walks closer to the doctor, Doc says that he warned him about what they started, but JJ argues that it has nothing to do with what they did. The doctor slips JJ the document, and he immediately causes commotion by shouting that the police are only holding him there despite his mother’s critical condition. The doctor advises JJ that he, too, must show tremendous bravery in order to survive.
Maria offers to assist Bi. Salama as she prepares water for Sultana and leaves the house, hoping that Kokan has been located safely.
JJ paces up and down the cage, tensely anticipating the findings; he stands in a corner and pulls out the document, but his nerves get the best of him; finally, he musters the strength to read it, and when he sees that the DNA results are negative, he is so devastated that he weeps.
Sultana realizes that Kokan’s blood will haunt her until she turns herself in, but she also realizes that the law doesn’t care if she is blind or a girl, so she decides to go with Kaka. She steps out with a basin stuffed with garments, within which she has concealed her sling bag containing a change of clothes. Maria asks if she wants to do laundry and offers to help, but she declines because she doesn’t need her assistance because she washes her own clothes. Maria persists, but Sultana yells at her, “Leave me alone, Bi!” Salama tries to urge Sultana to accept help because her pregnancy is fragile and she shouldn’t overwork, but Sultana refuses and says she has to go wash the laundry instead.
Asiya comes downstairs as Major is asking if he has seen Fatima, and she tells him that he hasn’t, and that Dida didn’t return home the night before either, and that Fatima’s habit of leaving the house so frequently is causing her concern, but Major doesn’t seem to hear her and instead asks if breakfast is ready.
The police refuses to give JJ his phone because he can’t justify giving a murderer such a luxury, but JJ explains to the officer that he knows his rights and that the judge hasn’t made any decisions.
Asiya is serving Major breakfast in the gazebo when the phone rings. She doesn’t answer it before telling him he made a mistake by sending JJ to jail. Someone’s voice wonders how long she planned to keep the secret, considering how heartless she is.
Maria watches Sultana as she does laundry, and she joins her. She asks Sultana not to think about what they discussed the night before, but Sultana becomes harsh, asking Maria what she really wanted from her. Maria assures Sultana that her intentions are pure; she just wants to be good to her the way Sultana was good to her, and she wouldn’t want the same thing to happen to Sultana as it did to her. Maria agrees to help Sultana with her washing, so the latter invites her inside to fetch some soap and her own dirty clothes. When she has a chance, Sultana runs away. When Maria exits the building, she looks around for Sultana but only sees Fatima standing next to her, scowling.
When Major inquires as to who was calling, Asiya quickly dismisses the matter by saying it was nobody important. JJ warns her not to act naive, since she has been privy to the family’s dysfunction from the start. Officer interrupts their talk, during which she tries to calm JJ down by explaining that she knew all along that Bi. Ua wasn’t JJ’s mother. Major is confident that it was JJ on the other end of the line, but he has never seen JJ cause Asiya to tremble before. He attempts to find out what he said, but Asiya is too shaken to listen. Major says he didn’t intend to keep JJ locked up for too long and that he knows JJ will respect him when he gets out; he then asks Asiya if she thinks JJ would lose trust in him if he stays locked up for too long, and he quickly departs.
Fatima slugs Maria and tries to strangle her while she asks where her husband is; Sultana is nearby but chooses to ignore the commotion, getting ready to flee at the first opportunity. Fatima splashes dirty water on Bi. Salama and tells her to be silent or she will remind her what she can do when Bi. Salama asks her to release go of Maria since it appears she has been mislead.
While Maria protests that she has no idea where Buya is, Fatima takes her along anyhow because Sultana has returned running after hearing her mother yell. Maria promises Buya she will never reveal his whereabouts to her and instead tells her he was at a specific address. Sultana is anxious since they can’t trust Fatima with Maria. Bi. Salama tries calling Kaka to warn him, but her call is not answered. Sultana assumes it must be JJ and rushes out, leaving everyone wondering how Fatima found out.
As JJ sobs over the results, the officer is given orders to free him and the cell door is opened.
Maria brings Fatima to Kaka’s empty house, where the latter begs Maria not to play games with her or she will teach her a lesson, before raising a hand to slap Maria, who is met by a brave glare from Maria, who grips Fatima’s arm.
