The Court gave the government a major blow after ruling that the Housing Tax levy is illegal because the provisions to which it was anchored was found to be of an illegal basis.
The 26 year old middle aged lady who was found gulity of child theft was finally sentenced to five years in prison for the crime that she had committed.


Daily Nation

The court blocked three key pillars of the Kenya Kwanza government. The three pillars that were blocked are the Housing Levy that was ruled unconstitutional but the State was given 45 days to appeal the decision and this will be by 10/01/2023.

Social Health Insurance Fund

The court ruled that it is illegal to deny Kenyans services for failing to register because that is violation of Human Rights.
Privatisation of Mombasa, Lamu Ports

The Coastal residents succeeded in preventing the government from privatising Mombasa and Lamu ports citing that it’s a ploy to take the Management of Kenya Ports Authority.

Raila Odinga hints at returning to the streets with another round of demonstrations. He hinted this to his supporters ahead of the Parliamentary Group meeting with the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition.

Workers in jubilation as the court rules that the housing levy is unconstitutional. The workers especially the civil servants rejoiced because it means that their salaries will not be deducted even as the economy becomes tough daily.
