What was Witnessed in Arsenal’s 2-1 Comeback Against Everton in the Final Premier League Game

Arsenal finished their 2023/2024 English campaign with a game at the Emirates Stadium against Everton. The two Managers named very strong squads for the encounter but Mikel Arteta dropped out of the Arsenal squad because of the muscle injury that he got.

Arsenal went down after 40 minutes after Idrissa Gana Gueye took a free kick and it went straight to the goal past David Raya. Arsenal however answered promptly after Martin Odegaard gave Takehiro Tomiyasu a good pass that led to the equalizer.

Gabrile Magalhaes who was not looking comfortable was substituted and his place was taken by Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Arsenal Manager further went ahead and made some further changes. He further substituted Ben White and replaced him with Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey with Emile Smith Rowe.

Mikel Arteta made another further Arsenal change and replaced Leandro Trossard with Gabriel Jesus. Everton only made two changes in their squad. Dominic Calvert-Lewin was substituted and his place was taken by Youssef Chermiti and Abdoulaye Doucoure was also substituted and his place was taken by Beto.

Martin Odegaard then played another role and gave Kai Havertz a very good pass and the German international player sealed the win for the Gunners. The Arsenal players gave a spirited fight but Manchester City carried the day.

Arsenal however did well this season and the club broke various records, the club broke the most number of wins in a single season, the most goals scored in a season and the highest goal difference ever recorded in a Premier League season.

William Saliba is the only Arsenal player who played all the minutes in the Premier League this season.

Mikel Arteta also told the Arsenal fans that they are feeling somehow disappointed because they gave him time and trusted his process just as he had told them when he was first appointed to take over from Unai Emery who really haunted Arsenal this season by beating Arsenal home and away and he is one of the reasons as to why Arsenal did not clinch the Premier League title this season.
