What was Witnessed in Manchester United’s 2-2 Comeback Draw Against Leeds United in the EPL

Manchester United met Leeds United at Old Trafford for another game of the English Premier League. This was a very interesting game that was full of goals. Barely two minutes into the game, Leeds United got the first goal. Patrick Bamford gave Degnand Wilfried Gnonto a good pass and he converted it past David De Gea.

The game was highly physical and of a high tempo. Leeds United lost two players in the first half to injuries. Luis Sinisterra was injured and he was replaced by Crysencio Summerville. Pascal Struijk also got injured and he was replaced by Junior Firpo.

 

The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Leeds United. The second half also started on a very high note and the Leeds United players continued to press the way they were pressing in the first half. They pressed hard and they forced Raphael Varane to score an own goal that gave Leeds United a 2-0 lead.

Erik ten Hag reacted quickly and he went into his bench and brought in fresh legs. He substituted Wout Weghorst and replaced him with Jadon Sancho. He also substituted Alejandro Garnacho and replaced him with Facundo Pellistri. The substitutes worked very hard and they managed to bring the club back in the game.

Marcus Rashford was once again on target after Diogo Dalot gave him a good pass. He pulled one goal for Manchester United and this ignited the team. Moments later, Jadon Sancho scored the second goal that equalized the tally.

It was now time for all the teams to look for a win. The Leeds United Manager made some further changes to the players who were looking tired. He substituted Jack Harrison and replaced him with Brenden Aaronson, Patrick Bamford with Georginio Rutter, Weston McKennie with Sam Greenwood and Degnand Wilfried Gnonto with Mateo Joseph Fernandez.

Erik ten Hag also further made some two more changes. He substituted Diogo Dalot and replaced him with Tyrell Malacia and Marcel Sabitzer with Victor Lindelof. The game ended 2-2 and all the teams got one point each.
