Why Zora has Become a Household Show in Kenya

Zora which is another show that is produced by Jiffy Pictures of Rashid Abdalla and Lulu Hassan, took over from the Maria Series of the same producers. It is always being aired on Citizen Television every weekday from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm. There are very many reasons as to why the series has become a household show in Kenya.

First of all, the show got a warm reception from Kenyans since its first episode. Many people are currently watching it in order to promote the local talents and the local shows in the country. Most people always concentrate much on the international shows at the expense of the local talents of Kenyans. This is one of the shows that has removed the narrative that Kenyans are not very good at acting.

Zora is also a household show in Kenya because of the quality of actors that it has. The show has several actors who have been in the acting industry for a long period of time. Some of the veteran actors are like Oliver Chibale, Zalena, Zora and even Nana. Many people know Nana and Zora because they featured in Tahidi High and they were some of the best actors during their time. Tahidi High actually lost its glory after their departure.

The other famous actors who have made the show to be a household one in Kenya are Yola who acted as Sophia in Maria, Madiba who acted as Mejja in Maria and Kwame who acted as Thomas. Most people are familiar with them and therefore they make the Show to look friendly since they are used to their faces. They are however acting different roles as opposed to the ones that they used to act in their previous show.

The Show also has some maturity in it. This is because the language is largely formal and most people can relate with it. English and Kiswahili are the two formal languages in the country and they have been largely put to use. This makes it easy for many people to relate with it ranging from the children to the adults.

Some actors like Lila, Fila and Simba also make the show very interesting. They are still young kids but their acting skills is on another level. They can be used as good examples by the parents to their children. They are a true definition of talent pays. Parents should therefore learn a lesson from this and allow their children to pursue whatever they want in life both academically and socially. If their parents could have just confined them to just reading, they could have not known that they have a talent in acting.

Apart from acting, Zora show has also given Lila and Fila the platform to shape up their vocals and even sing once in a while. This should also act as a lesson to the parents and kids that they should nurture their talents from childhood so that they may be perfect in future. This also makes the local series to have a huge fan base in the country.

Zora Show is also a household show in Kenya because it teaches some family values. The Series acts as a lesson to many families. It shows how greed can ruin a family. A good example is the family of Zora. The mother separated with the father and they are all living separately. Zora’s mother forced her daughter to marry Fela just because of wealth. The marriage never worked well because it was a very abusive one. It teaches a lesson to the families that marriage should not just be based on material things but affection.

Parents should not force their daughters to get married for their own benefits.  Zora’s mother literally sacrificed the happiness of her only daughter just because of money.  In the Chibale’s family, Kwame was also forced to marry Yola just because of the incident that transpired and led to the death of Alma. It is very evident that the marriage will not work well because the connection between the two people is not there.

The relationship between the Chibale’s also speaks volumes. Oliver inherited all his father’s wealth and he did not even bother to share it with his siblings. His wife Zalena is the one who poisoned his mind and even made him to neglect his own biological father who died as a devastated man. Oscar is still languishing in poverty because they have not yet gotten their rightful share of the wealth.

This teaches the lesson that nobody should be allowed to separate close family members because of anything. The family should stick as one unit in times of happiness and also in times of sorrow. Women who are also married should not be mistreated because of their inability to give birth as per the wish of their family members. Kwame’s mother did not like Alma because she took so long to give birth. The truth of the matter is that it is Kwame who had a problem and not Alma. This teaches that people should not be judgmental in their decisions but they should listen to the story from both parties before making a conclusion.

Zora has also become a household show in Kenya because its timing is just a perfect one. The show starts at 7:30 pm. This is a time that finds most of the people at home. People who come from work always have the opportunity to watch it, since this is the period when some families are also taking their supper. Most people always watch it while relaxing after having a very busy and hectic day.

The timing is also a perfect one because it always starts very early before the kids go to bed. This also makes them to also be supporters and viewers of the show. To make it more interesting the show has a couple of their peers and therefore it is a show that can also be watched by children too since it does not have bad scenes.
